Used social media networks like Facebook and Flickr so users could better share their experience with alternative transit.

    Collaborated with RDA marketing staff to create a comprehensive social marketing plan for their beginning efforts. Included guide to best practices and policies for effective social media usage.

    Board Member and Conference Coordinator – Nevada Interactive Media Summit, Reno, Nev.
    January 2009 – Present
    Founding member of first interactive media summit in Nevada. Chose best seminars on using social media and networking to help local organizations and businesses. Brought in over 120 attendees from diverse fields such as the arts, government, and public relations.

    Reporter/Web Producer – Neon Feminism, Las Vegas, Nev.
    January 2008 – May 2009
    Launched and maintained a blog on feminism in Las Vegas. Produced multimedia pieces to add interactivity and life to breaking news stories and investigative pieces. It received a steady flow of over 1,000 hits a month.

    Covered a beat on women’s issues on campus, writing stories on the Guerrilla Girls On Tour, Jean Nidetch Center and Planned Parenthood. Significantly increased coverage of women’s issues at university.

    Expanded outreach in new markets such as university students and young professionals. Helped start-up a young professionals group, MUSE, that sold nearly 100 memberships in just the first six months. Increased outreach to the media by 200 percent.

    Developed curriculum for entire year that focused on English conversation and American culture. Increased student participation by using games, plays and popular music as motivation.
